Our people recently had the chance to give back to the community by hosting a class of children from the Florence Fuller Foundation’s child development center in Boca Raton, Fla., which supports economically challenged children and families.
This was the third year that RNnetwork sponsored a class of 20 3- to 4-year-old children. After we received a wish list of gifts from each child, we broke the office into groups of four and each team took on the task of buying and wrapping the gifts for a child.
We set up the training room with a Christmas tree and decorations, and when the kids arrived they were greeted by one of Santa’s elves. We even had our very own Santa Claus make an appearance, which was the highlight of the kids’ day — and Santa’s — as they each lined up to give him a hug.
Santa and his elf then handed out the presents to each individual child, and we got to see their excitement when they opened up their gifts.
RNnetwork has always done different types of fundraising events. Whether it is the eight hours of volunteer time off they allow us or the massive United Way Week we participate in each year, we always spend time helping others.
