Everyone has an opinion on the best scrubs for nurses — and we wanted to see which ones you love most! We polled nurses on Instagram to narrow down our picks for this year. Here are 2022’s top scrubs for nurses.

1. FIGS

Founded and based in Santa Monica, California, FIGS tops our list of best scrubs for nurses because of the quality, fit, and variety of options.

“They are buttery soft, and the different styles are perfect for every body type,” shares ER nurse Amber Kirschbaum.

Pediatric nurse Michelle Martin says FIGS “fit great and wash well,” while Chelsea Swick, an ICU nurse, raves about the quality. “They could be five years old and look brand-new,” she says.

While FIGS offers several types of fabric, including water-repellent and seamless options, their best-selling scrubs are made of its exclusive anti-wrinkle FIONx fabric, which is soft, moisture-wicking, and antimicrobial. The Zamora joggers have nearly 20,000 positive reviews from healthcare providers who love the wide adjustable yoga waistband, slim fit, and six pockets.

2. Grey’s Anatomy by Barco

Wearing Grey’s Anatomy scrubs doesn’t mean your coworkers will look like Derek Shepherd or Christina Yang, but it does mean you’ll be more comfortable while you’re on your feet for 12 hours.

“Grey’s are so stretchy and comfortable,” ER nurse Alanna Sweeney says. If you’re also looking for a more forgiving fit, check out the Grey’s Anatomy Spandex-Stretch line, tailored and made from an antimicrobial fabric that resists soil, odor, and moisture.

Other wearers say they prefer the classic line, which is also made from moisture-wicking fabric. Reviewer Jesi Stracham gave the Mia top five stars for what she calls a “soft and solid fit.”

“I’m very happy with the material and fit of this top. It’s roomy with a contoured fit,” Stracham says. “It’s super soft and doesn’t wrinkle with me being seated as wheelchair user! I’m a big fan!”

3. Cherokee

With 50 years of experience manufacturing medical uniforms, Cherokee is a well-known brand that often makes best scrubs for nurses lists. PACU nurse Nereida Alvarez says she prefers Cherokee because they have “different styles and lots of colors.” And ICU nurse Courtney Coughland says this brand offers “cute scrubs and inclusive sizes.”

Pediatric nurses can find lots of kid-friendly prints in Cherokee’s Tooniforms collection, and nurses who want to add unexpected details like rose-gold zippers will enjoy browsing the Statement collection. Some collections are available in sizes up to 5XL, and most include sizes up to 3XL.

Cherokee offers scrubs in various fabrics, including four-way stretch antimicrobial poplin, classic cotton, and contrast knit. The popular mock-wrap top in Cherokee’s Infinity line also offers a stretch rib knit in the center back panel for comfort and comes in 28 colors.

Though you can’t order scrubs directly from Cherokee’s website, you can use the store locator to find a local medical supply store that carries the brand or place a group order online.

4. Heartsoul

Designed exclusively for women, Heartsoul scrubs are known for their bright colors with names like Berry Blast and Glam Fuchsia, comfortable four-way stretch fabric, and hidden details like logo elastic on the joggers.

“These are the only scrubs I purchase,” shares Jo in an online review. “Great colors, no fading, and lots of styles.”

Made of soft, stretchy moisture-wicking fabric that’s easy to wash, Heartsoul scrubs come in sizes up to 3XL and are available to buy online or in medical supply stores throughout the U.S.

Heartsoul’s new shaped v-neck top features a bungee loop to hold your badge or keys, grommet for headphones, and three pockets and is available in 21 colors. Their low-rise tapered leg jogger pant is also a favorite, with five total pockets, rib-knit cuffs, and tonal heart detailing on the back.

“These are the best scrubs I have ever purchased. After buying the first pair and immediately falling in love with them, I proceeded to buy every color,” reviewer Miranda says. “The stretch in these is so comfortable, and the dry-fit material keeps me cool all day. I look forward to them adding more colors so I can add those to my collection.”

5. Koi

ER nurse Lauren Korth says she loves Koi scrubs because they are more fitted.

“Because most of us wear our badges clipped to our collar, it makes it more imperative that they don’t gap or pull down,” she says. “Koi scrubs are fitted and stylish. They also have bottoms with cargo pockets and drawstrings on the bottom if you need to cinch them up.”

Made with a polyester-spandex fabric blend, Koi scrubs are breathable and moisture-wicking. They are also fade- and shrink-resistant. Koi’s best-selling Freesia top is available in 10 different colors and includes a bungee loop for an ID badge and three pockets. The popular Lindsey pant, which Korth swears by, has multiple pockets, including one for scissors, a modern bootcut fit, and an adjustable drawstring waist.

6. Medelita

Physician assistant Lara Francisco started Medelita after working a decade in emergency medicine. She is proud of its proprietary fabric, which repels stains, fluids, and soil. Medelita is also known for its slimming, gender-specific uniforms.

Nurses who want a different look without traditional patch pockets prefer the Calyx scrub top, with its three welt pockets and angular top-stitching. The Argon scrub pants are also a popular choice because of their straight-leg cut and athletic design details, including zippered back pockets.

“The Argon pants are true to size and are cute and comfy. I love the flattering fit and how comfortable the wide waistband is. The drawstring is a perfect pop of color to the outfit,” says reviewer Charlotte E. “Love how many pockets there are and how my phone fits perfectly in them! The material seems super durable and after a few washes, they still look like new.”

Medelita also offers a one-year warranty on all apparel. You can send your scrubs back within a year of the delivery date for repair or replacement.

Good scrubs are critical for your comfort and wellbeing as a nurse. Fortunately, you have a lot of options to choose from, no matter what features you’re looking for!
