Saying 2020 was stressful is an understatement. And for those who work on the frontlines of healthcare, it has been a particularly difficult time. To help alleviate some of this stress, we’ve put together five Spotify playlists for your listening pleasure. They’re chock full of gems you may not have heard before, along with some classics you surely know. So take a listen! Whether you need to destress after a rough shift or you just need a little get up and go, we hope you’ll enjoy these picks!

1. Soothing Sounds

When you’ve had a particularly tough day, these songs can help alleviate some of the built-up stress. The American Psychological Association found that “music is medicine,” and one researcher says that music improves the body’s immune system function, reduces stress, and helps in relaxation. We hope this soothing playlist will be the equivalent for you too. Namaste.

2. You’re Not Alone

Nurses work in an environment that can be emotionally and physically draining. The National Alliance on Mental Illness conducted a study of the impact of music on mental health and found that “music therapy … can be utilized as a regulating or calming agent for anxiety.” We hope this playlist will do just that for you.
