Tax Day, April 15, is just two months away, and you’re probably already begun the process of filing your taxes. The following frequently asked questions and answers about W-2 forms can help you, especially as you compile documents from assignments in several states.
1. I worked in multiple states for 2013. Will I get a W-2 for each state?
Yes. If the state you worked in withholds state income tax, you will get a W-2 form listing the wages associated with those earnings. If you worked in a state that doesn’t withhold state taxes, such as Texas, Washington or Wyoming, you will not receive a W-2 for that assignment.
2. What do I do if my W-2 is incorrect?
If you review your W-2 and feel that the figures are incorrect, you can contact the RNnetwork payroll manager at 888-813-5127 or call our corporate office at 877-222-4272. We will be more than happy to assist you and make sure everything gets corrected.
3. January 31, 2014 came and went, and I have not received my W-2. Wasn’t I supposed to receive it by then?
The law requires W-2s to be postmarked by Jan. 31 each year. RNnetwork makes sure that you have access to it before Jan. 31 by providing you with instructions to get your W-2 online. This way you can print it at your leisure before the hard copy arrives. If you did not receive your W-2 in the mail, we may have the incorrect address for you on file. Please contact us at 888-813-5127 to see if this is the case.
4. What do I do if the address is wrong on my W-2?
If the address on your W-2 is incorrect, please contact the RNnetwork payroll manager at 888-813-5127 to provide the correct information. You can also contact the corporate office at 877-222-4272 for assistance.
